At Sandbach Animal Rescue, we have plenty of opportunities, whether you can spare an hour once a month or a few hours each week.
The Shop
Our shop in Sandbach is a great place to start. You might enjoy chatting with customers, or perhaps you’d prefer unloading donated bags and finding hidden treasures. We have varied roles with full training provided.
The Rescue Centre
You’ll need to be strong-willed not to get carried away and adopt every cat and kitten you meet. Our dedicated welfare volunteers go in twice a day to feed and clean up after the residents, alongside plenty of other roles including gardening, maintenance and helping to keep things running smoothly.
Fundraising Events
You’ve probably seen us out and about, or perhaps you’ve come along to one of our coffee mornings. Raising money for the charity is vital and needs many hands. We run tombolas, hook-a-prize games, jumble sales, and sometimes it’s simply holding a collection bucket.
Behind the Scenes
There’s also a fantastic team behind the scenes: baking cakes for our coffee mornings, making crafts to sell in the shop and on our stalls, and generally helping out wherever it’s needed.
