At Sandbach Animal Rescue, we’re rescuing and rehoming more cats and kittens than ever before. But what we’re not managing to do is raise enough money to cover the growing costs.
£240 Per Kitten
We all love a kitten, that little bundle of fluff. But the sad reality is that every single kitten costs the rescue an average of £240 before they can go out into the world. That covers vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, neutering and microchipping, and that’s before you factor in food and litter.
We currently have twelve kittens at the rescue, with another five on the way. That could easily amount to £5,000 just for this one group, on top of the older cats already in our care and those out with our fosterers.
An Ongoing Challenge
This isn’t a one-off situation. We face this financial pressure every single month, and the team is working incredibly hard to fundraise.
Could You Spare the Cost of a Coffee?
We’re making an appeal to all our supporters: could you spare a few pounds each month? A regular donation via standing order would help us enormously. If just half of our supporters donated the cost of a single coffee each month, it could mean the world to a kitten that needs some help.

Meet the New Arrivals

Say hello to Kiwi and Papaya, born to a stray cat that found some lovely people who took her in and rewarded them with these little beauties.
Born at the rescue in the last two weeks: Buttons and Chip to mum Coco; Crumble and Tiramisu to mum Honey Bee. They all join Rain, Flow and Puddle with mum Piper, plus Tobermory, Orinoco and Bungo.
Every one of them needs your help.
