Join Our Team: Volunteer With Sandbach Animal Rescue

From shop shifts to cat care, fundraising to baking, volunteering with Sandbach Animal Rescue is a chance to make friends and make a difference. Could you spare some time to help?

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding ways to give back to the community, and at Sandbach Animal Rescue there are so many opportunities to get involved. Whether you’re looking to meet new people, spend a little more time out and about, or simply do something meaningful with your free hours, we’d love to welcome you to our team.

Our charity shop in Sandbach is often the first point of contact for many supporters, and it’s a vital part of keeping the rescue running. Volunteers help with everything from chatting to customers and organising donations to uncovering hidden treasures amongst the bags and boxes that are dropped off.

No experience is necessary and full training is always given, so it’s a great place to start.

For those who want to be closer to the animals themselves, volunteering at the rescue is an experience like no other.

Twice a day our welfare team visits to feed the cats, clean their spaces and give them much-needed attention. It can be hard not to fall in love with every single kitten, but it’s a role filled with purpose. We also welcome help with the practical side of things such as gardening, maintenance and keeping everything running smoothly – jobs that might not be glamorous but make a huge difference.

Then there are the many events we run throughout the year. From coffee mornings and tombolas to jumble sales and bucket collections, we’re always out and about raising money to keep the rescue alive. Behind the scenes we have bakers, crafters and organisers lending their time and talents too. Every role is important and every volunteer is valued.

If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this could be the perfect time to take the leap. Whether you can spare just an hour once a month or a few hours every week, your contribution will help us continue our work and change lives.

You might just discover a new passion—and a whole new circle of friends.
