VOLUNTEER AT SANDBACH ANIMAL RESCUE
One of the major ways you can get involved at Sandbach Animal Rescue is by volunteering. We are in constant need for all types of volunteers at our Rescue Centre, Shop, for fundraisers and as foster carers.
At Sandbach Animal Rescue, we are all volunteers; we do not have any paid members of staff.
Volunteering with SARS can be an extremely rewarding opportunity to give back to the Sandbach community as well as yourself.

We welcome volunteers from all backgrounds and communities.
If you’re passionate about cat welfare and want to support Sandbach Animal Rescue, here’s how to get involved:

Time Commitment
At the Rescue:
Due to the training involved, we ask for a minimum commitment of three months for hands-on roles with cats. Volunteers must follow agreed-upon shift times.
We also like to get to know new volunteers through fundraising activities before they go forward for training at the Rescue.

Every hour helps us continue rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats across Cheshire.
Fostering
Many of the cats we help have faced trauma, neglect or abuse. As a foster carer, you can give them the time, love and safety they need to heal.
We cover all costs – you just provide a calm, caring home.
Join our foster network and help give cats the second chance they deserve.
Trustees and Committee Members
Help shape the future of cat welfare in Sandbach and the surrounding areas.
Sandbach Animal Rescue is looking for passionate, committed individuals who might be interested in joining our committee.
Trustees play a key role in guiding our work with rescued cats – helping to shape strategy,
make important decisions, and ensure we continue providing the highest standards of care.
Committee members take responsibility for running and improving all the key areas of our
operation.
Whether your skills lie in finance, administration, fundraising, marketing, or operations, this is a meaningful way to make a difference behind the scenes.
Join us and help give every cat the second chance they deserve.
What Will You Gain?
Volunteering with Sandbach Animal Rescue offers a rewarding experience and the chance to connect with others who are passionate about animal welfare. Beyond the joy of helping cats and kittens, there are plenty of benefits:
- The chance to gain valuable skills, experience and confidence that could help you in your career or in seeking paid employment.
- Opportunities to network with like-minded volunteers and animal welfare advocates.
