Important points to consider

If anything should happen to me or I found myself homeless or needing to move into temporary accommodation I have family and/or friends who would be able to accommodate the cat.
Everyone in my household has spent enough time in direct contact with cats to ensure they are not allergic
I am as keen as my children are to get a new cat. My reason for getting a cat is not just because my children want one
If I went on holiday, ideally, I would find someone to care for my cat in my home or friend’s home. Failing that, I would ensure I placed them in a prechecked boarding cattery.
